Sometime on Jun 10, Laura Vance assembled some asciibets to say: > automake --version > automake (GNU automake) 1.4-p5 ok, but 1.7 would be better. > autoconf --version > Autoconf version 2.13 definitely no. this is an archaic version. use 2.53 at minimum. 2.13 doesn't even have version number checks - which is why you didn't get an error up front. > libtool --version > ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.4 (1.920 2001/04/24 23:26:18) cool. 1.4.2 would be a tad better (2003 sometime), but 1.4 will do. As per RPM - that only cares about library versions, not about build environment versions. When you want to build, you need a build env. -- It's gonna be alright, It's almost midnight, And I've got two more bottles of wine. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the new InstallShield X.
