Ok, here's what I've noted:
#1. With the way ayttm seems to be designed 5 seconds is a pretty
good idea. Everytime the webcam 'snaps a picture' the entire
program freezes until the image uploads. With a 0 second
delay the program is effectively unusable. 3 seconds is
usable, but slows everything down BUT the webcam. 5 seconds
is usable, but still irritatingly laggy.
#2. Anything under a 3 second delay gives fits to the 'real' yahoo
messenger. (anything from 'black image' to crashing the client,
which (while definitely cool to take out a windoze app;) is a
bad thing.
Is that the way the thing's supposed to work? If you broadcast your
webcam you're apparently looking at lagging out AYTTM. I'm currently
using AYTTM with one yahoo id for broadcasting my webcam and GAIM with
my primary yahoo id to chat.
Thanks,
-Steve
