No, it should be same in all distros including ayttm unless they
have changed the source.

As far as I know ayttm no longer uses 'streamer' but
now uses 'webcam'

However, you will have to change
delay = 3 to delay = 1 in your ~/.webcamrc

You might, as well, want to change it in
/usr/local/ayttm/bin/ayttm_streamer_wrapper.sh

in your case, it might be, just
/usr/bin/ayttm_streamer_wrapper.sh
