What is supposed to be in the libltdl directory anyway?  When I download 
from CVS, it's empty.

Also, what would it take to make my copy of CVS use my versions of 
automake and autoconf?  I tried to upgrade my versions about a year ago 
with no luck, so I am going to try the opposite approach.  If Laura 
can't go to the mountain, bring the mountain to Laura. :)
