Sometime on May 26, LV cobbled together some glyphs to say:

libltdl is generated when you run libtoolize --ltdl.  It puts a copy of
your libltdl headers (should already be installed on your system if you
have libtool-libs) into your source directory.  If you don't have
libtool-libs - well, then that's the problem (libtool-libs is the
package name on redhat.  I don't know about other systems)

let me know what your problems were.  I've been reasonably successful in
making things work with a wide variety of autotools.
