I built and installed libproxy from the url you gave but I'm not able
to reproduce this on my Fedora box. Maybe a libtool/gcc bug that has
been fixed in a later version? You could try and modify
src/Makefile.am in ayttm source to replace "-lproxy" with
"../libproxy/libproxy.a". Then do "./gen" before you configure and
make.

Or move the libproxy.so out of the way for a while and build ayttm.
