I am using gcc 4.3.3 and libtool 2.2.6a.  Strange that you didn't pick
up the error.

I created a patch for Makefile.in and when it is configured the correct
Makefile is generated and ayttm builds and runs with no issues.

Since I was doing this for the distro didn't want to move libproxy.so
around on user's computers.
