Re: exchanges with both native IPv4 and IPv6?

Hi Stig,

AMS-IX is doing exactly what you describe below, we have about 130 IPv4
connected ISPs and about 12 of them also run IPv6.

As far as the Exchange infrastructure is concerned, V6 is using the same
production environment as V4.

We run V6 on a separate VLAN for several years (from 1999) but decided last
year that there was no need for this any longer.

Switching environment is Foundry switches running layer 2 code connected to
each other through 1 or 10 GE.

I am not aware of any problems so far.

Indeed as you write, providers either use a separate router or they run dual
stack. 

  Question: Can someone put me with this e-mail address (and my colleague
  Arien Vijn)  on the V6 exchange list ? I was always on there as
  Henk.Steenman-aQ8LOTYtUSdWk0Htik3J/[email protected] but changed jobs lately and think I forgot to
  adjust e-mail addresses on this list.
