IPv6 reverse lookup by Windows

Hi Brian, Please let me ask you directly as you seem to be most familiar with the Windows' IPv6 implementation in this list. We are now checking various IPv6 implementations that perform IPv6 DNS reverse lookups as the deprecated ip6.int top level domain will soon be out of service and it may cause troubles in operation. (Regarding the deprecation plan, see, for example, APNIC's proposal at http://www.apnic.net/meetings/20/docs/sigs/dns/dns-prop-sanjaya-ip6int-deprecation.pdf) We are considering four possible implementations: 1. try only ip6.arpa 2. try only ip6.int 3. try ip6.arpa and then fall back to ip6.int if the first attempt fails 4. try ip6.int and then fall back to ip6.arpa if the first attempt fails My question is which one Windows' IPv6 implementation adopts or if it uses none of those what it is. It would be also useful if we can get per-version (e.g., XP vs Vista) or per-application (e.g., IE and others) differences if any. Thanks in advance, JINMEI, Tatuya Communication Platform Lab.
