I remember discussing it, but as I am not personally in the systems/ircd team, I don't know. However, we recently released a new update to our drone module on our IRCd, which seem to have taken care of the recent spam bots. Of course, there is still other types of spambots getting through, but as you may have noticed, it have been reduced quite alot.
