Since the bahamut guys are currently working on their re-write (2.0) they plan to implement IPv6 in that from the start. The issue with bahamut and IPv6 is that it was never designed to have it to start, and while I made it work it was never pretty. As far as hostmasking, most users just want the ability to HIDE their host, and a few want the ability to set it to some random host (DNS spam) MAYBEE...... whats needed almost as much as a new ircd, but some new blood in the ircd team? Most of you guys know me from my toiling with services, and basically I have gotten most of the kinks out, and I know its still not perfect. Would it be in everyones best interest if I joined the current team and then perhaps we can actually get the job done? experience? need a resume? :P (http://cvs.freequest.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/) Havent touched it in awhile, because nothing is really broken (haha now ive said that it will fall apart tonight) services leaks virtually no memory and the ircd never crashes (even the ipv6 hack!) SO now my neck is on the chopper. what do you guys say? I knew the situation was dire but I thought that you guys were on your way. I didnt know it was getting to be really desperate. I offer to help. -Mark >------------------------------------------------------------------------ > >_______________________________________________ >public mailing list >public-Hb7ITwsGSD4lroQnaJEqWdi2O/[email protected] >http://lists.blitzed.org/listinfo/public > >
