I disagree if this is a residential broadband supplier; forcing
everyone to go through their smarthost is good practice.  The IP
ranges are often listed in dynamic IP DNSBLs anyway, making sending
mail direct problematic.

On the other hand, running bopm from a residential broadband
connection is extremely foolhardy and can lead to having your
service terminated, so I hope the OP isn't trying to do that.
