UPDATE: CVS 20041024 INSTALL ISSUE ON FREEBSD 4.9-R

Ok I was able to finally get past the Automake and Autoconf checks ..
but I still am getting an error on libtool.

Here is the actual error from Autogen.sh:

Creating help files...
Documentation: html -> txt...
Checking auto* tools...

**Error**: You must have `libtool' installed to compile Irssi.
Get ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/libtool-1.2d.tar.gz
(or a newer version if it is available)


And here is proof that I have LIBTOOL installed:

root@irc /home/gr00vin/irssi-cvs -> pkg_info -Ia | grep libtool
     libtool-1.5.10      Generic shared library support script (version 1.5)

Any ideas how to get around this?
