irssi stops reconnecting on "Name or service not known"

Whenever my ISP throws me out of the internet, irssi tries to reconnect.  
But this only works as long as I don't get a "Name or service not known"  
message - when this message comes, irssi stops trying to reconnect to this  
network. How can I make irssi keep on trying in spite of this message? I  
already thought that a script could do that, but I'm not into Perl :/
