Usage of activity_hide_targets.

I am trying to make it so a couple of bots in a channel wont light up my
channel activity bar.
However using the examples found on the webpage, I have not been able to
make it do so.
#set activity_hide_targets #channel =nick1 =nick2 does not work.
How do I go about doing this, is it even possible?
