  Do you only have the run-time library installed, and not the
development RPM ?  I don't use Fedora so can't give specific RPM names,
but on Debian we have:

	libglib2.0-0 - The GLib library of C routines
	libglib2.0-dev - Development files for the GLib library

The first is for running programs that need GLib, the second is if you
need to compile something yourself that will use it.
