irssi and psybnc

I have been using irssi in conjunction with psybnc for several years with no
trouble at all, however I recently setup psybnc to support

multiple network connections from a single connection with odd results.
Every 5 minutes the connection drops then immediately reconnects

only to notify me that it's 'not connected to server' if I try to issue a
command. It seems this related to irssi being used with psybnc in multi

network mode alone since I have never had any issues using irssi with psybnc
in single network mode and can connect to the psybnc thru

xchat with no 5 minute disconnects. Has anyone had any experience with this
that can steer me in the needed direction?
