The first thing to do to promote more IRC activity is probably to 
centralise the channels -- if there just plain isn't enough activity to 
warrant more than one channel, why waste space on other people's 
servers? If we can get past  possible egotism on the part of existing 
channel ops (Hopefully not a problem), then I see no reason why we can't 
have one active channel, rather than 10 dead ones. Might be an idea to 
have a fund-raiser for our own ircd, maybe. Just pitching ideas out there.
