I believe you're referring to spelling errors<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthography>. Typographical errors <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typographical_error>refer to general mistakes, including errors due to slips of the hand or finger, such as joining together words that ought to be split apart. Especially if one of them is an acronym. I also proposed changing "Cannot join to channel #test (You have joined to too many channels)", as it's misusing the word "to". Like Tabris pointed out, yes you can join one object to another, as in "join together". But a channel is not an object - you "join a club", "join a group of people". Then there's the odd capitalization error, unnecessary abbreviation, inconsistent spelling and so on and so forth. But it's cool, I'll wait till Irssi gets on GitHub (if it ever gets on GitHub) and submit these changes myself, as opposed to arguing with a bunch of bigots who couldn't care less about typographic correctness in the first place. --Dwayne http://wearebuild.com +44(0)208 521 1040 (Vimeo<http://vimeo.com/wearebuild/videos>) --0015175cd4f262196704b670911a Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Fri, Jan 13, 2012 at 5:14 PM, Marc Hartstein <<a href=3D"mailto:marc.= [email protected]" target=3D"_blank">[email protected]= > wrote:
>
>
> Please identify the typographical e= rrors you are proposing to correct.
>
> The one quoted above ("ircname" -> "IRC name= ") is clearly exchanging one
> intentional choice for another, n= ot fixing a typo.

I believe you're referring to <a href=3D"http:= //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthography">spelling errors. <a href=3D"http:/= /en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typographical_error">Typographical errors refer = to general mistakes, including errors due to slips of the hand or finger, s= uch as joining together words that ought to be split apart.
