How to pass bash variables (passwords) to IRSSI config file?

Hi folks,
IRSSI (coupled with Mutt) is really great, but I've a pro-question
that I have not managed to resolve googling and duckducking [0].

I store Mutt and IRSSI config files outside my encrypted home folder,
and with Mutt I've a plain text file with passwords (let's assume
~/.muttpass) which is queried for password anytime I open Mutt using
the rc file; the muttrc slice seems like:

set my_pass1=3D`awk '/fradeve_gmail:/ {print $2}' ~/.mutt/muttpass`
set my_pass2=3D`awk '/fradeve_inventati:/ {print $2}' ~/.mutt/muttpass`

I wonder how can I pass my IRC channel's passwords to the IRSSI config
file (~/.irssi/config) without writing them directly in the config file,
for security reasons, like I do with Mutt.
