I finally bothered to read the rest of this thread.. I've most likely =
written most of the things complained about here over 10 years ago. Most =
of the things weren't conscious decisions on how to write something. I =
think I've probably simply copied a lot of sentences from BitchX or =
elsewhere. The "ircname" was intentionally done that way for whatever =
reason (probably I thought it looked pretty, maybe I copied that from =
BitchX too, can't remember).

Anyway, my thoughts: Leave ircname as it is (it's pretty :), fix the =
other obvious problems if you can be bothered, no idea about joining =
stuff.
