Hi All, I am a novice as far as lftp goes & hence I need your valuable suggestions/answers to get me headstart on using it. I've been given an assignment to use it as a REPLACEMENT to the existing ftp scripts, since ftp is not considered robust. Could you pls help in answering the foll questions: 1) How do you make lftp retry several times in case of a failure? I see that I can use <get with -c option> to get lftp to RETRY. But, how many times will <get> command RETRY & where do we mention that? Is it suggested to RETRY specific no of times OR is it advisable to RETRY between some time interval, BEFORE assuming that FTP is destined for failure (server down etc.) & how do I implement that? 2) In case of failure, how can I log the error to a file? Again, appreciate if you can given an implementation. Thanks, Praveen P.S: I got your email from one of the lftp sites I visited. _____________________________________________________________ FishHoo! Search Index for Fishermen http://www.fishhoo.com
