I am trying to work with ftp over ssl on a Linux system, but it seems that although I install GNU TLS and build lftp accordingly, lftp doesn't seem to be linked to a GNU TLS library. See the results of the version command: "LFTP | Version 3.6.1 | Copyright (c) 1996-2007 Alexander V. Lukyanov LFTP is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you are welcome to change it and/or distribute copies of it under certain conditions. There is absolutely no warranty for LFTP. See COPYING for details. Send bug reports and questions to <[email protected]>. Libraries used: Expat 1.95.7" As a result when I execute the command lftp -u username ftps://195.39.236.193 I get an instant response back requesting password and whatever password I provide I get the prompt "lftp [email protected]:~ <mailto:[email protected]:~> >" without being connected. I send you attached the config.log and the respective makefile that I used for compiling lftp. Can you please advice me why ftps is not working? What am I doing wrong? I will really appreciate your response, Maria Arvanitou Lykos PaperLess Solutions S.A.
