Thanks, I figured this out myself.

I am going to trust it for a quick do-differ between my client and 
server, and won't be doing it so often as to necessitate a speed 
optimal solution anyhow.

I had the feeling that perhaps it would be possible to do it in one 
pass though, thus save processing the data twice. But I don't really 
know the definitions of these sums (looking at the code only helps me a 
little here).

But doing it in pseudo-parallel is certainly Good Enough for my.

I'll see what I can do. The cvs seems to be changed very little. Are 
there btw any bugs in librsync that I should be aware of?
