need to switch between UTF8 and CP1251 for Cyrillic

Hello!
Does one know how to get rid of subj?
In the latest licq 1.3.4 i have to send messages in CP1251 and receive
in UTF-8. This happens only for some users i'm talking with
(supposedly they have mirabilis client). With qip and miranda
everything is ok, i use CP1251 to send and receive.
