Route Calculators

QUOTE from the mt/README file in the GM distribution:

Myrinet programmers may want to provide their own route calculator.
A custom calculator may provide better routes than the general 
purpose calculator built into the GM mapper for a particular network.

  While trying to create my own route calculator, I came upon
a few issues. I was hoping I would receive some clarification 
with regard to them by posting to the mailing list.

  As the README file indicates, the route calculator that comes 
default with GM is "simple_routes" and a route consists of a 
destination host name and a list of Myrinet style routes (relative 
hops) seperated by commas. What happens when a GM packet reaches 
a host which is not the final destination of the packet? Is it 
just dropped? 

  I need to create a route such that when a host receives a packet 
not destined to it, it forwards the packet according its local 
routing table. Does the current GM provide functionality that 
can support such a scheme? Does it require that I write a new MCP
or modify an existing MCP? 

  Where can I find the source code of the mcps in mcp/prebuild?
