I've spoken with the author of GM, and he says:

The files gm_sdma.c, gm_send.c, gm_recv.c, gm_rdma.c, and gm_timer.c
are not supposed to be in the GM-1.5 release. They are old versions
from the GM-2 source tree included by accident some time ago due to a CVS
snafu. They will be removed shortly.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
