FFTW 2.1.3 Libraries with Portland 4.0 & Myrinet?

Hi, Folks,

I'm having some problems compiling and using FFTW 2.1.3 libraries. 

I was wondering if perhaps there's someone out there who has a similar
setup that has experienced similar issues.

Installation is as follows:

32 athalon single-cpu nodes running linux 7.3 which myrinet
mpich-1.2.4..8a (from Myricom) compiled with Portland Compilers

When I try to compile the FFTW 2.1.3 libraries with the --enable-mpi flag
(which calls mpicc), they compile okay, but the tests included with the
FFTW libraries fail with:

"Testing correctness for n = 21...Found relative error 1.993078e+00
fftw: failure in Ergun's verification procedure"

The developers of the FFTW Libraries said I have a problem with my 
mpicc.

If I compile the FFTW libs with my gcc installation of mpich-1.2.4..8a, 
and use the gcc-build mpicc, the libraries compile fine and test fine as 
well. However, I can't get these gcc compiled FFTW libraries to work with 
my Portland compiled code.

Sooo........I'm stuck. Anybody using Portland compilers, MPI and FFTW 
libraries that can offer any advice?
