We are terribly late, but it's coming. We have set a strong deadline for 
release but we missed several in the past so I prefer not to say :-\

The version we will release will be more tested than beta, but I would 
not go production with it before it ages a little.

We have a TCP version of MX that we used to write the middleware and the 
regression tests. I don't know if it's available, but it may be useful 
to start to play with the API.

It is completely MT safe. There will certainly be a non-threaded version 
of the lib because some customers don't need it and threads can slow 
down some libC calls, but the default lib is threaded.
