GM internals

hello,

I 'd like to ask some questions regarding GM internals(version 1.6.4):

1) how many NIC to host DMA operations at the receiver does a normal
GM_RECV_EVENT entail? One for the receive slot queue and a second one to
fill the data at the specified buffer? Or is there just 1 DMA for the
receive slot and then optional simple copy by the client (via
gm_memorize_message) of the data to the user provided
e->recv.buffer. I think that the latter is true only for FAST, not
normal, messages.

2) Does the DMA-able user buffer need to be physically contiguous
memory, or is there DMA capability for transferring virtually
contiguous user pages to/from lanai memory ? If the latter is the case,
is there a translation table from virtual to bus-physical addresses in
host or lanai memory?
