Monitoring PlugIns under Icinga

I have got a few questions about the use of Monitoring Plugins under Icinga.
I am already using Icinga for some parts of work and I would like to know, if
Icinga can use MPi to see, if a computer was booted and shut down normally
and without errors or other difficulties disrupting these processes.
