Installing it from source is fine, but if you read the installation
instructions it would have told you to run "perl ./np-install" which
would have helped you through the installation process.  It looks like
you installed everything from source rather than using RPMs, which
should be fine but you obviously hit a problem.

Unfortunately, RH9 isn't as well supported by np-install as it used to
be and some of the RPM specifications contained within np-install are
out of date for RH9.  For instance, I'm pretty sure the Gtk2 GUI mode
won't work although the Tk one should be just fine.

When you installed mod_perl did it install a Server.pm file?  It
should have, and if so can you find it?  You can probably run "locate
Server.pm" to find where it was installed.

Correct, those are for IPsec specific functionality, which isn't
required if you just want the SNMP management support.
