Thanks for your reply!

I am installing net-policy on Red Hat Linux 9. In
order to master net-policy thoroughly, I decided to
install it from source (*.tar.gz files).

All re-prequisite software packages were installed,
including mod_perl (mod_perl was installed via CPAN at
first, but after that I installed mod_perl (latest
release) due to an installation guide I found to
install apache2 enabling mod_perl 2).

Here are the packages I have installed:
-httpd-2.0.53.tar.gz (with mod_ssl)
-postgresql-8.0.1.tar.gz
-libodbc++-0.2.3.tar.gz
-unixODBC-2.2.10.tar.gz
-perl-5.8.6.tar.gz (stable version)
    -DBD-Pg-1.40_04.tar.gz
    -DBI-1.48.tar.gz
    -Apache-DBI-09.4.tar.gz
    -DBD-File-0.33.tar.gz
    -CGI-Ex-1.14.tar.gz
    -CGI.pm-3.08.tar.gz
-libsmi-0.4.2.tar.gz
-opensnmp-0.4.0.tar.gz
-netsnmp-5.2.1.tar.gz
-iptables-1.3.1.tar.gz
-net-policy-2.1.tar.gz

And here are what I found in the error_log file after
I ran https://172.16.197.197/net-policy:

Can't load Perl file:
/usr/local/apache2/conf/startup.pl for server

I have not installed np-cerberus and np-plutoplus yet
because I think net-policy still works without these
packages.

It took me a lot of time to solve the problem of
compatability among the packages. I am very grateful
if you can recommend me a list of packages with their
versions that are completely compatable with each
other.

Please tell me if you need a more detailed log file of
my net-policy installation.

Hope to receive your reply soon!
