By clear trap, I mean:

For instance, if there are some traps generated for say "link down"
with Severity set to Critical/Major/Minor etc... every few min, after
sometime when the link is up, a trap is generated for "Link up" with
severity set to "Clear". This trap should clear all the previous link
down traps.

As I understand this is more related to trap viewer utility, but all I
wanted to know is if there is any standard way of doing it.

Thanks

Vishwanath

And is there any standards defined for clear traps?

What exactly do you mean by a "clear trap" ?
