strange error after ppp conenction lost

Hi,

I got some strange error flooding syslog after the pppoe conenction 
lost/reconencted on my linux (debian 2.6.8-2-386, snmpd 5.3.0.1) box.

May  4 13:30:10 mail snmpd[2819]: netsnmp_assert index == tmp failed 
if-mib/data_access/interface.c:468 _access_interface_entry_save_name()

It won't stop until i restart snmpd. Also, even while making these 
errors mrtg can get traffic data from this link.

Any ideas?
