All,
I have been atempting to use the event mib to simply watch a process
and send a trap to OpenNMS when the process fails. here is my config,
i am running net-snmp 5.2.2, I compiled 5.3 but was recieving mte
trigger failed errors in the log.. I am running on SUSE SLES9SP3.

syslocation Server Room
syscontact Sysadmin (root@localhost)
rocommunity public 127.0.0.1
rocommunity public xx.xx.xx.xx
rocommunity public  xx.xx.xx.xx
defaultMonitors yes
proc httpd2-prefork 10 1
procfix httpd2-prefork /etc/init.d/apache2 start
trapcommunity public
trapsink xx.xx.xx.xx public

I fo get a cold start trap, but no trap for apache being down as shown
here but clearly net-snmp knows its down....

UCD-SNMP-MIB::prErrFix.1 = INTEGER: 0
