Given that the standard logging isn't working, I suspect you're going to have to fall back on old-fashioned print statements. Try liberally plastering hardwired debugging statements in the 'ucd-snmp/disk.c' file, printing the results to your own log file (and explicitly flushing the output, in case the agent falls over). If we can pinpoint exactly where the agent is failing, then we might have a fighting chance of working out why.
