hello dave, it works! but, I got another question : 1. when I run the snmpd with verbose mode, I found this error message : error on subcontainer 'ia_addr' insert (-1) error on subcontainer 'ia_addr' insert (-1) error on subcontainer 'ia_addr' insert (-1) error on subcontainer '' insert (-1) error on subcontainer '' insert (-1) error on subcontainer '' insert (-1) NET-SNMP version 5.3.1 and these error repeat each 30 second. that mean something missing? I can't found what that error exactly in past list archive nor google. 2. why the graphics in stg just update each 30 second? can't I get it always updated every request from client? the graphics shows like this : | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | \-----------------------------------------------------/ 7:48 7:49 7:50 7:51 That traffic is to monitor IF-MIB::ifInOctets.2 and IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.2 can I increase the update time period? what should I do? Thank you, and pardon me had gave you all so much question... regards, denny > On 29/08/06, Denny Zulfikar <[email protected]> wrote: >> in client I run SNMPTrafficGrapher(STG)-Windows to get value of OID >> 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1. > > OK - how is this tool configured? > In particular, what community string does it use? > > If you're not sure, try running the agent using > > snmpd -f -Le -d {plus any other necessary options) > > and probe it using STG.
