You may have better luck talking to the people who designed this MIB.
It feels a little confused to me, and I'm slightly surprised that it's
still using SMIv1.

What application are you using to send the trap?
Given the MIB definitions that you've shown us, you shouldn't need to
specify a variable list.
The only necessary information would be the trap OID (for SNMPv2/3
traps) or the enterprise number and trap number (for SNMPv1 traps).
