Correct. An SNMPv3 user will always have a authentication and encryption type associated with them. That doesn't mean you have to *use* those settings. You can set up a user with MD5/DES, and then configure access for that user with "noAuth" (or "auth"). This then ignores the encryption/authentication settings. But you need to specify what algorithms that user would use if that user did use either of these facilities. You can't leave this totally blank.
