Yes, The OS is the same - SUN Sparc Solaris 5.9 and the version of the
snmp is also the same snmp agent version 5.1.1

Oh well, worth a try.

All I can suggest for that is to try running the agent with debugging
turned on,
send the two requests, and compare the output.

Well the most obvious cause would be that particular system might not
actually support this particular value.  Are you working with the same
O/S throughout?
And the same release of the Net-SNMP agent?
