Re: example demon not connecting to master agent

I forgot to mention that another thing I have tried is starting the
master agent with the option "-Dagentx".

The only output I get from issuing this is "agentx/subagent:
init_subagent sess 0809b378"

* I am running both the master and subagents as root user (via

agent starts it prints "Turning on AgentX master support."

* The contents of /var/agentx is "srwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 2006-12-04
10:31 master"

* The master agent is responding, as issuing a "snmpget localhost
sysUpTime.0" works.

Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can try or what the problem
is?

I'm running version 5.1.2.
