RE: Help regarding net-snmp sub agent error -- adding new mib

 My issue:
 ---------
1) I followed the procedure given in below mentioned link:
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/tutorial/tutorial-5/toolkit/mib_module/index.html

I created snmpd.conf file by following this below mentioned link:
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/tutorial/tutorial-5/demon/snmpd.html

After all the setup, configuration, compilation, ... I ran the snmpd process.
And then executed the snmpget operation command.. Then I am getting "No Such Instance currently exists at this OID" (For my newly added mib)

2) So I created subagent by using the steps in below mentioned link:
http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/tutorial/tutorial-5/toolkit/demon/index.html

Once I am trying to run this newly created subagent, then it is giving the error "Error: Failed to connect to the agentx master agent: Unknown host (/var/agentx/master) (Connection refused)"


I think so, now you understood my problem..
Kindly let me know, If I am missing anything..

I am not clear what problem u r facing ?
but hav u configured u r main agent i.e. snmpd ?
for agentx support by setting parameter in snmpd.conf
bcoz this is required for communication betw subagent & main agent
