Something like: MIBS="" snmptrap ..... or snmptrap -m "" ..... should do the trick. See if that helps. Another possibility might be to suppress the reading of config files. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a command-line option to do this for snmptrap (or the other client-side commands). But adding the statement: netsnmp_ds_set_boolean(NETSNMP_DS_LIBRARY_ID, NETSNMP_DS_LIB_DONT_READ_CONFIGS, 1); to the code (somewhere before the 'snmp_open()' call would do this.
