Check > again later and everything should be fine. It's not clear, still, why cpanp is 'offering' to upgrade-by-downgrading. Maybe some version # check is off? (For example, Mail::Spamassassin installed "privately" never seems to have issues with whatever's available on CPAN) But, "wait a bit" works for me. Thanks for a good, easy answer!
