I have my own implementation of an AgentX subagent. I test it against

SNMPD implementations (one of them is NET-SNMP).

OK, that might be helpful for debugging. But what should I do when I
cannot
guarantee a response time of 1 second and want to tell the master agent
that
it should use a greater timeout (the AgentX code runs in a separate
thread
and must synchronize (mutex) against other threads that may hold the
mutex
for a view seconds (e.g. when synchronizing data to disk))? The RFC
mentions
the timeout in the open and register PDU that should overwrite the
default
timeout.
