What's the magic word? Hmmm.... There doesn't appear to be a run-time mechanism for disabling this particular functionality. You can turn it off when compiling the code originally ("configure --disable-snmptrapd-subagent"), but not at run-time. The simplest short-term fix would probably be to edit the 'snmptrapd.c' file, and set the 'agentx_subagent' flag to be 0. Or else use the '-x' option to point the AgentX connection to /dev/null. This is a definite omission - I've logged it as such on the project tracker system.
