	This is a job for rowStatus.  See RFC2579 for details.  The comment in the rowStatus SMI definition is the definitive description, and by far the longest comment ever put in a standard MIB.  I suggest you read it several times to ensure that you understand it.

	There have been efforts to replace or update rowStatus, but, to the best of my knowledge, no clear consensus has formed.
