KeyChange pbject type using encode_keychange

I am using net-snmp's snmpset command to set usmUserOwnAuthKeyChange. 
  1. To compute the KeyChange for usmUserAuthKeyChange/usmUserOwnAuthKeyChange: 
  # encode_keychange -t md5 -O 12345678 -N 87654321 -E 0x80000a4c0431323334 
e4e48c3aec5f9f71f7f766458c5f057b16f74052a70db9be346cf1cef0e59cd7 
  2. I assumed that 32 octet is the random number and the rest 32 octet is the key. I choped 32 bytes (either from left or from right) of the KeyChange 
output and set userUsmOwnAuthKeyChange to that value using snmpset command and then set the random number. The snmpset goes through, But neither the old nor the new password works now.
