How can I access the pdu in a handler

I would like to know if there is a way to get the community name from
the pdu inside a handler request?

For example:
int abc_handler(netsnmp_mib_handler *handler,
                            netsnmp_handler_registration *reginfo,
                            netsnmp_agent_request_info *reqinfo,
                            netsnmp_request_info *requests)

I tried both of these:
reqinfo->asp->pdu->community_len 
reqinfo->asp->orig_pdu->community_len

But they are empty.
Is there a way to view the pdu in the handler function?
I am using the tdata helper functions running agentX.
Thanks for any info on how to look at the pdu (community info) inside
the handler.
